Strength in numbers
We also provide coaching for small groups of clients who share the same specific language needs. This can make sense in terms of efficiency and group dynamics, among other things.
For example, we have coached:
- 2 urban planners who were preparing a bid to host a major international event in Vienna
- 3 social policy experts who were going to give a joint presentation at an EU symposium
- 4 secretaries who provided initial information on their organisation’s legal services over the phone – sometimes to clients who didn’t speak German
- 5 legal experts who wanted to work on explaining aspects of Austrian criminal law in English
- 6 management consultants who decided to hold their weekly team meetings in English, with a trainer listening in, providing vocabulary support, and giving them language feedback after the meeting
